Synopsis: Singer/musician Tilla and her boyfriend Erdinc go on a journey around Türkiye, Romania, Hungary and New York in the footsteps of Hungary's most famous composer, Béla Bartók. In the film we follow Bartók's journey from the Istanbul Conservatory, through the city's eastern bustle to the many sites of his collection in southern Turkey. And our manuscript is the Master's account, his travel diary, which will guide us not only through the hustle and bustle of Adana, Mersin and Tarsus, but also through the inner excitement and research vocation that drove Bartók on and on, driven by a single goal: to discover the similarities between Hungarian and Turkish folk music. Communities where time seems to have stood still since his visit. The same sound of the Turkish whistle and drum still echoes on the membrane of the Hungarian soul. Images of life, atmospheres, reconstructed events, a tasteful and respectful portrayal of Bartók's spirit - all embraced by the universe of Bartók's music, this is a unique work of art in the field of Béla Bartók's career.
